We Design Value: Everbowl is a fast growing Acaí bowl restaurant chain based in San Diego. Their space at SDSU is located in a newly constructed mixed-use facility on campus referred to as ‘South Campus Plaza’. K2A worked with the client and project team to design, coordinate and permit the TI through a long series of project review authorities. Being on state owned property, our drawings were reviewed by DSA, State Fire Marshal, and several other city, county, and university level authorities. By leading the coordination effort and efficiently sequencing the submittals, K2A was able to permit the TI in less than five months, which helped to expedite the fast serve restaurant’s grand opening.
We Value Design: Everbowl as a brand, and a business, has a well-developed and visionary goal; to bring healthy, delicious food to the masses, utilizing the unharnessed potential of super foods, like Acaí, Gaviola and Pitaya. Implementing a grand vision and brand identity into real world architecture requires teamwork and listening. By bringing to the table our ability to coordinate complex projects and our real-world construction experience, we were able to bring together many voices and deliver a project which was easy to build, thoroughly code compliant, and a space in which students, faculty and the public are delighted to spend time in.
